Bottoms (Sept. 1)

Two girls start a fight club as a way to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. The film stars Ruby Cruz, who is of Mexican descent. (Comedy, LGBTQIA+)

Thirst (Sept. 5)

Costa Rican American actor Brian Villalobos plays a lawyer with a history of substance abuse, struggles with insomnia. His insomnia spreads throughout the town, with some residents becoming unhinged and dangerous. Also in the cast is Federica Estaba Rangel from Venezuela.(Horror)

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Universe (Sept. 8)

Adapted from Benjamin Alire Sáenz’s best-selling YA book, this coming-of-age movie follows the friendship between two teenage Mexican-American loners in 1987 El Paso and their difficult road to self-discovery and romance. Cast includes Eugenio Derbez, Eva Longoria, Veronica Falcón Lin-Manuel Miranda, Reese Gonzales and Max Pelayo. Derbez and Miranda are producers. Director/Writer: Aitch Alberto. (Romance, LGBTQIA+)

Sitting in Bars With Cake (Sept. 8)

Inspired by true events, the movie follows two best friends navigating life in Los Angeles in their 20s. Shy homebaker Jane commits to a year of baking cakes and bringing them to bars as a way to meet people. Stars Venezuelan American actor Aaron Dominguez. (Drama, Comedy)

Finestkind (Sept. 8)

“Finestkind” tells the story of two brothers from opposite sides of the tracks, who are reunited as adults. When desperate circumstances force them to strike a deal with a dangerous Boston crime syndicate, a young woman played by Jenna Ortega gets caught in the middle. Ortega is Puerto Rican and Mexican American. (Drama, Crime)

Rotting in the Sun (Sept. 8)

After encountering a social media celebrity at a gay nudist beach, a man named Jordan reluctantly agrees to direct his new project. But when the celebrity goes missing, Jordan embarks on a wild, quasi-detective journey through Mexico City. Stars Catalina Saavedra and Sebastián Silva. Silva also directs and co-wrote the film. Spanish/English language. (Horror, Comedy)

A Million Miles Away (Sept. 15)

Inspired by the real life story of NASA Flight engineer Jose Hernandez. The film follows the career of Hernandez who rises  from a rural village in Mexico to the International Space Station. Stars Mexican American actor Michael Peña, Alejandra Màrquez Abella, Rosa Salazar, Veronica Falcón. Director: Alejandra Márquez Abella.(Biopic, Drama)

Cassandro (Sept. 15)

A gay amateur wrestler from El Paso rises to international stardom after he creates the character Cassandro the “Liberace of Lucha Libre”. In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world, but also his own life. Based on a true story. Stars Latinos Gael García Bernal, Roberta Colindrez, Raúl Castillo, Bad Bunny and El Hijo Del Santo (Biopic, Sports, LGBTQIA+)

El Conde (Sept. 15 )

Augusto Pinochet is a vampire ready to die, but the vultures around him won’t let him go without one last bite. Stars Jaime Vadell, Gloria Münchmeyer and Alfredo Castro. Directed by Pablo Larraín. Spanish/English language. (Horror, Comedy)

Expend4bles (Sept. 22)

The mercenary group is back for the fourth movie in the “Expendables” movie franchise. This time the team is trying to stop a terrorist organization from getting nuclear warheads. Cuban American actor Andy García joins the cast as a CIA agent. (Action)

Dumb Money (Sept. 22)

Dumb Money is based on the true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop into the world’s hottest company. Stars Puerto Rican actor Anthony Ramos and Honduran American actress America Ferrera. (Drama)

Spy Kids: Armageddon (Sept.22)

Mexican American Director Robert Rodriquez reboots the “Spy Kids” franchise. When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world. Robert also co-wrote the film. Stars Gina Rodriguez(no relation), Everly Carganilla and D.J. Cotrona. (Action, Comedy, Family)

A man part of an experimental military spy program tries to take it down. Erica Muñoz is part of the cast. (Sci-Fi, Action)

The Creator (Sept. 29)

In a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, a hardened ex-special forces agent is recruited to hunt down a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself. Instead he discovers the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child. Marc Menchaca, who is of Mexican descent, is part of the cast. (Sci-Fi)

Saw X (Sept. 29)

Set between the events of SAW I and SAW II, a sick and desperate Jigsaw travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of cure for his cancer – only to discover it’s a scam. Jigsaw turns the tables on the con artists through a series of terrifying traps. Stars Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez and Octavio Hinojosa. (Horror)

Muzzle (Sept. 29)

An LAPD officer and his partner Socks, a violent K-9 with titanium incisors and a mysterious past, aim to uncover a vast conspiracy that has a chokehold on the city. Mexican, Colombian and Ecuadorian American actor Diego Tinoco is part of the cast. (Crime, Action)

Carlos (Sept. 29)

This documentary has never before seen footage and interviews of music legend and multi-Grammy winning artist Carlos Santana, who has been in the business for more than 50 years and made a name for himself blending jazz, blues, Mariachi and rock. (Documentary)
